featured authors are award winning authors and best
selling authors. They are the big names that come to
this event. As fans you get a chance to meet them in
person, ask them questions, get one of their books
autographed, and listen to book readings.

Michael Aro |
|
Michael Aro was born in 1952. He is a
novelist, poet, and new media artist. He has
worked as a roofer, a truck driver, an urban
planner, a teacher, a computer programmer
and an executive in several software
companies. His work is dark, satirical and
encyclopedic in nature. His style of writing
mixes and matches every literary form and
technique. His poetry has been published in
The American Poet and The Journal
of Experimental Fiction and online in
Identity Theory, smokebox.net and
Harvey Bialy’s bialystocker.net.
Essays in new media poetics have been
published by the North American Center
for Interdisciplinary Poetics and
Unlikely 2.0. His art is contained in
individual, corporate and university
collections. He lives in Louisiana and has
five children. He is the author of two
published books Red Moon and M.
Michael Aro is also an award winning author
- he won the 2008 Space Odyssey Award from
the National Literary Awards Committee which
recognizes the best in Science Fiction
Literature.

Marcus Blake |
 |
Marcus Blake was born in Chicago, Illinois
in 1977. He grew up in Chicago and East
Texas. His education is in History,
Literature, Psychology, and Religion &
Philosophy. Marcus Blake has studied at many
universities throughout the United States,
but his Alma Mata is Stephen F. Austin State
University in Nacogdoches, Texas, which is
also where he wrote his first book, The
Music of Life. Mr. Blake is a Poet, Writer,
and Historian. His books are The Music of
Life, My Reflections, Returning Home and Sex
Game. He has taught in the public school
system, served in the Army, and been a guest
speaker at Education and Literary events
throughout the world. Marcus Blake is now a
full time writer, teacher with over ten
years experience, and a lecturer He makes
his home in the Dallas, Texas. Marcus Blake
is the 2008 American Book Choice for Fiction
Award Winner for his book Returning Home. He
is also the 2008 S.T.I.F. Award Winner for
his book Sex Game. The awards are National
Literary Awards sponsored by the National
Literary Foundation in Chicago. This award
committee is a national award committee that
recognizes the best in American Literature.

Steve Wilken |
|
Steve Wilken served in the US Army during
the turbulent years of 1969-71, including 13
months stationed at Long Binh, Vietnam. He
later graduated from the University of Texas
at Arlington in 1975 with a BA in History
and Political Science Steve wrote the book
Why Didn't You Have To Go To Vietnam, Daddy?
in 2007 when events brought back memories
that he no longer wished to suppress. He
hopes that telling this story now, even at
this late date, will help a younger
generation understand the forces that shaped

Texas. Founded in 1982 NLP Learning Systems
Corporation is the oldest and largest
continuously operating NLP Training Center
in the Western United States. John career
spanned over thirty years; teaching classes
in Effective Communication, Effective
Listening, Sales Effectiveness, Management
Skills and Team Building to Fortune 500
Companies throughout North America. In
addition, John Taught classes to the general
public in NeuroLinguistic Programming,
Effective Communication, Personal
Transformation, Huna Philosophy, Meditation,
and Behavioral Change. John Marszalek
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with Minors in
Psychology and Speech from Westminster
College and a Master of Arts in
Communication from the University of

Rochecll Rabouin is an
Author/Storyteller, Writer/producer,
Lead Artist, Lead Vocalist (Jingle
Singer/lyricist),
Guitarist/Musician, Actress/Voice
Over Talent, Teacher/Tutor,
Motivational/Public Speaker.
Children´s book author Rochelle
Rabouin has come quite a long way in
her careers. Her Mother, Dolores
Lockwood–Rabouin, a librarian (the
first African American to work in
the state of New York as a Library
page) made sure books and reading
became a daily part of growing up.
Her Father, Kenneth Rabouin, (a
pioneer in Military Jazz Bands and a
leading Classical and Jazz musician)
was the guiding force in
establishing her musical
foundation. She has worked in
libraries as a volunteer since age
11. Rochelle was introduced to the
North Texas market as a vocalist by
HASGOW GALLERIES in 1988...from then
to the present time she has
established her self as a top notch
actress, storyteller, musician and
performer in a variety of genres.
"The Adventures of JINGLE JYNGEL,
The Happy Helpful Bell" was written
as a companion book for her arts in
education program about Bells from
around the world. Rochelle has been
collecting bells since 1982. During
a visit to the Lewisville Library in
2003, Rochelle decided to do a
search for a childrens book about
bells. ..Not the HOLIDAY
kind!!..More of a
history/geographical type of
book....This book was never
found...There is one for adults but
none for children..NOT ANY
MORE...VOILA´ Jingle Jyngel!!!!
"SHAPES FRIENDS” is a book that was
written in honor of her Father and
as a thank you to him for the
wonderful adventures of growing up
in a military family and the gift of
experiencing people from all
different cultures. Both books are
performed as Arts-in-Education
programs for schools, libraries
family/childrens festivals and
special events. Rochelle has lived
in the North Texas area for since
1986. |
