Children´s book author Rochelle
Rabouin has come quite a long way in
her careers. Her Mother, Dolores

the state of New York as a Library
page) made sure books and reading
became a daily part of growing up.
Her Father, Kenneth Rabouin, (a
pioneer in Military Jazz Bands and a
leading Classical and Jazz musician)
was the guiding force in
establishing her musical
foundation. She has worked in
libraries as a volunteer since age
11. Rochelle was introduced to the
North Texas market as a vocalist by
HASGOW GALLERIES in 1988...from then
to the present time she has
established her self as a top notch
actress, storyteller, musician and
performer in a variety of genres.
"The Adventures of JINGLE JYNGEL,
The Happy Helpful Bell" was written
as a companion book for her arts in
education program about Bells from
around the world. Rochelle has been
collecting bells since 1982. During
a visit to the Lewisville Library in
2003, Rochelle decided to do a
search for a childrens book about
bells. ..Not the HOLIDAY
kind!!..More of a
history/geographical type of
book....This book was never
found...There is one for adults but
none for children..NOT ANY
MORE...VOILA´ Jingle Jyngel!!!!
"SHAPES FRIENDS” is a book that was
written in honor of her Father and
as a thank you to him for the
wonderful adventures of growing up
in a military family and the gift of
experiencing people from all
different cultures. Both books are
performed as Arts-in-Education
programs for schools, libraries
family/childrens festivals and
special events. Rochelle has lived
in the North Texas area for since
1986. |
